Wayne Price Racing has been Racing Pro Alcohol for about 12 years now he started out with a second hand Funny Car from the states to learn in and few years later upgraded to a new chassis and a new nitro dodge charger body from the states the car was about 300 lb over weight so they had a choice to either buy a light weight body from the States which many teams have already or modify theirs to have something unique and different to anyone else in the world but also be competitive so it was decided to modify theirs and take a mould off it and get a light weight body.
The team's dedication to excellence is reflected in their accomplishments. Wayne Price Racing has been honored with Best Engineered awards for several of their cars and earned multiple trophies in Supergas competition. Their standout performance came in Pro Alcohol, where they secured runner-up positions four times in a single season, ultimately finishing third in points.
The success of Wayne Price Racing is a testament to the dedication and skill of its exceptional team. At the heart of it all is Wayne Price, whose journey from street car racing to professional drag racing has driven the team's success. Trev, the team’s fabricator and a loyal friend since 1990, plays a crucial role in keeping the car in peak condition and ensuring Wayne’s safety. Trev’s wife, Jan, has been an integral part of the team’s support network from the very beginning. Mark, responsible for the engine, has been with the team since their Group One Funny Car days, and works alongside Trev to maintain the car between rounds. Greg our experienced tuner joins us for his first full season this year bringing a wealth of knowledge to the team and is assisted with Cassie who works closely with Greg. Tim, our truck driver, also helps with clutch adjustments, while Alan, our clutch man, ensures optimal performance on the track. Stef is dedicated to maintaining the motor, ensuring it runs smoothly and reliably. Together, this talented group of individuals makes Wayne Price Racing a formidable and successful team in the world of drag racing!
Wayne Price Racing proudly partners with Alky Pro, Onsite Automotive, and KCK Lubricants, whose support is crucial in driving the team's success. This year, we are excited to compete in all five rounds of racing, starting in Sydney and traveling to Talem Bend in South Australia and Willowbank Raceway in Queensland.
